Every moment is a picture
captured at infinite angles
a poem penned for purpose beyond meaning or measure
With each breath we battle in a war to be remembered
martyrs for the art in a graveyard
of memories and moments and poems
they die with me
Will they rest in peace or be resurrected in grief
from deceptions of memory
that these fits of love they last forever
Now hollow and weak
connections stretched thin by time
Faulty design in the fault lines of the mind
We grasp to seek meaning in a language that flows
around exhausted exhales of words purged through the silence
Talismans hold the place so I someday may embrace
a feeling that can't be placed or defined
what surrounds resounds with the hints that we find within
and the feeling is fleeting A fickle flicker in the void
The great dance, the cosmic paradox
Searching and struggling to capture this holy moment
with constricted eyes exposed to the light
Glimpse of the divine
